Working with kids is one of my favorite parts of my job. There’s nothing more exciting than helping a young student start a lifelong pursuit of music— and it’s so much fun! Here are some highlights of lessons that keep kids engaged and learning.

Kid-Centric Lesson Materials

No one should be stuck with dull, uninspired music, which is why I make it my goal to find materials and songs that motivate each individual student at a level they can achieve with confidence.  Whether the student is 4 or 14, every assignment is designed with both enjoyment and pedagogical excellence in mind.

Games

Nothing helps a kid remember a new concept better than games! We cover everything from rhythm skills, ear training, theory, and more to support performing skills and well-rounded musicianship.

Hands-On Experience

My greatest desire is that every student use the skills they take from lessons in real-world situations. With regular recitals, encouraging songwriting, and supporting their own unique opportunities we strive to get their music out of the practice room and onto the field.
